I would like to share my story…

I’ve been helping Montreal families ever since opening my private practice in 2010. In my practice I work with children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds, including families who have recently relocated to Montreal. My work is rewarding in many ways. I enjoy observing children’s natural tendency to regain their emotional balance when provided with the right kind of support. I admire the strength and courage of children in distress, as well as their trust in life and in others. But most of all, I rejoice when children and their parents begin to laugh together. This lets me know I am fulfilling my mission.

In my free time I enjoy travelling, exploring the outdoors, drawing and practicing sports. In addition, for over 20 years I have been practicing meditation and strive to bring mindfulness into my everyday life.

Credentials & Work Experience

I received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree in School and Applied Child Psychology from McGill University. I am licensed with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ). I am certified to provide autism spectrum diagnostic assessments using the ADI-R and ADOS-2 instruments.

In addition to my private practice, I worked as a school psychologist at the Vanguard School for children with learning disabilities. I also worked as a psychologist at the McGill University Counselling and Mental Health Clinic.

My Philosophy

I believe that all children have a potential for growth and positive change. By providing them with a safe and caring environment, I strive to uncover their unique strengths. I also believe that parents are the true experts on their children. I enjoy learning about each family’s cultural background, daily life, and values. This allows me to better connect with children and tailor my interventions to the needs of each

Therapeutic Approaches

Overall, I would describe my approach as playful, humorous and creative. Discussing your child’s difficulties is not always easy, but a positive, light-hearted approach to therapy makes us more equipped to deal with difficult situations.

In my work I use the following approaches:
  • The solution-focused approach
  • Play and art therapy techniques
  • CBT
  • Mindfulness-based approaches

When you want something, the whole universe conspires to help you realize your desire.

Every journey begins with a first step. Let me support your child on the road to a happier and more successful future. Contact me today at (514) 704-1307.
